MONKEY TALES
IN THE BEGINNING
In the beginning there was hummus. Pasty, chalky, runny, oily and bland hummus. Then came the Monkey. But the Monkey was sad.
Then the Monkey had a vision. A vision of a world where people thrived. Where people rejoiced. Where people were free to choose a hummus that was fresh, healthy and above all delicious. A world where flavor and variety were in fact spices that enhanced life. Where organic, sustainably farmed and wholesome ingredients are celebrated. A utopia where the needs of the hungry masses are in balance with the needs of the Great Mother Earth. And the vision gave the Monkey hope.
Inspired, the Monkey set out to bring this vision to the people. The Monkey gathered, roasted, squeezed and mixed. The Monkey tasted, adjusted, then mixed some more. The Monkey would settle for nothing short of perfection.
Once complete, the Monkey sent the hummus out amongst the suffering masses. The masses tasted - and rejoiced. And smiles were on the faces of the people. And the Monkey looked upon the faces of the smiling masses. And saw that they were good. And the Monkey was happy.
But the Monkey could not rest. So the Monkey mixed again. And the Monkey mixed some more. And thus presented to the joyful people other flavors. And the people rejoiced. For variety truly made life more vibrant.
Thus, the Monkey was happy. For the Monkey understood that making people happy is the true source of happiness.
